Hi everyone, I’m Tre’Andre Valentine, Executive Director of MTPC.

As we close out this year, I’ve been thinking about what it means to resource the future, not the one imposed on us, but the one we choose to build together.

This year has shown us, again, that trans people are powerful, creative, and deeply rooted in community care. And even in the face of harmful rhetoric and political attacks, we’ve seen incredible moments of solidarity and possibility.

Through it all, MTPC has continued to show up. Because when our community faces barriers, we build solutions. Every name change clinic, every financial assistance distributed, every training, every advocacy effort, every moment of support; it all speaks to a bigger truth:

We are resourcing the world we believe in.

A world where our dignity isn’t up for debate.
A world where our safety is non-negotiable.
A world where our futures are expansive.
A future where trans people lead, create, raise families, and live in safety and joy.
