Join Boston’s transgender and nonbinary community to honor and commemorate the 26th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) on Thursday, November 20.
The evening will begin with a Vigil from 7:30–8:45 PM at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, featuring a reflection on the history of TDOR, the reading of names, and a candle-lighting ceremony in remembrance of those we’ve lost to anti-trans violence.
Following the vigil, we will gather for a Community Dinner from 9:00–10:30 PM at Simmons University’s Linda K. Paresky Conference Center, a space for connection, conversation, and collective care.
Transgender Day of Remembrance is both a memorial of the transgender and nonbinary people lost to violence and injustice and a reminder of the systemic inequities that we continue to face, especially amidst a federal administration seeking to eradicate our community as a whole. However, we remain vigilant as ever, rooted in care and community.
