Step 1: Register to Vote

Voting is an important way to have your voice heard on issues that you care about or that affect you. Trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people’s voices often go unheard in government and policy, yet it’s vital that we are heard because there are so many different policies and laws that affect the trans community.
The deadline to register to vote for the 2020 elections is October 24th.
Step 2: Make A Plan
In response to COVID-19, all registered voters in Massachusetts can vote by mail without needing to qualify for an absentee ballot.
VOTE BY MAIL
(1) Request a Vote-By-Mail Ballot. Complete and sign the Vote-By-Mail application. Mail or drop off your application to your local election office by no later than October 28th.
(2) Once your application is approved, the state will mail an election ballot to your address. That ballot must get to your local election office postmarked by mail or in-person to be counted by no later than 8 pm on November 3rd.
(3) You can use the Massachusetts state portal to track your vote-by-mail ballots here.
VOTE EARLY (IN PERSON)
Early in-person voting for the State Election will be held October 17th-October 30th.

Don’t forget to wear a mask and practice at least 6 feet of distancing from others. Bring snacks and beverages. Make sure your mobile and/or mobility devices are charged.
VOTE ON ELECTION DAY (IN PERSON)
In-person voting for the General Election will be held on November 3rd.
