National Transgender Organizations

National Center for Transgender Equality

The National Center for Transgender Equality is a national social justice organization devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender people through education and advocacy on national issues of importance to transgender people.
By empowering transgender people and our allies to educate and influence policymakers and others, NCTE facilitates a strong and clear voice for transgender equality in our nation's capital and around the country.

Trans People of Color Coalition

Established in 2010 to address the issues that impact trans men & women of color. The complex intersections of race, gender, and sexuality affect our daily lives. Black Transmen, Inc

The 1st National Non-Profit Organization of African American transmen solely focused on acknowledgment, social advocacy and empowering African American transmen with resources to aid in a healthy female to male transition.

NGLTF Transgender Civil Rights Project

Transgender Civil Rights Project provides legislative, policy and strategy assistance, including evaluation of legislative and policy language, to activists and organizations working to pass trans-inclusive or transgender-friendly laws and policies. Although the primary work of the project centers on nondiscrimination laws and policies, the project can provide assistance to policymakers and activists working to pass any legislation or policies regarding transgender equality. PFLAG's Transgender Network (TNET)

Transgender people have been included in PFLAG’s support network for over a decade. Our Transgender Network (TNET) includes contacts and regional coordinators for all of our chapters around the country. Their primary mission has been to educate our members and allies about transgender issues – a subject foreign to many, including those parents and significant others surprised by the coming out of a loved one as transgender. Transgender American Veterans Association (TAVA)
