Hey my name is Nicki a transgender woman who is on hormonal therapy treatment and living with HIV in Uganda
My living condition and safety has been greatly impacted due to the current situation with the new anti homosexuality laws. Due to the country I live in, I am at now at risk.
am currently facing security threats from the neighbourhood as they suspect we are LGBTQ and have been advised we must relocate asap. I am currently staying with 3 friends and have no income. Last night I was assaulted in my neighborhood as a result of a hate crime which you will see in the given documentation. I have previously been sexually assaulted, resulting in extreme trauma and pain after contracting HIV. Failed to get funding to get a new location to start a fresh from a toxic transphobic environmet that iam staying in currently, have exhausted all options 😭
Hi Nicki, we’re very sorry of the difficult situation you are in. We suggest you look into the Trans Asylum Support network: https://linktr.ee/transasylumsupport
