Transgender Emergency Fund of MA

The Transgender Emergency Fund (TEF) supports low-income and homeless transgender individuals in Massachusetts, assisting with homelessness prevention, shelter assistance, nutrition assistance, prescription co-pay assistance, transportation and escort to medical appointments, etc. All services are contingent on the availability of funds.

Services provided include:

  • HRT prescription co-pays
  • Personal supplies – soap, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, etc.
  • Homelessness prevention “client must have income to sustain apartment”
  • Rental start up “client must have income to sustain apartment”
  • Clothing for winter months
  • Air mattresses
  • Laundry money
  • Transportation to medical appointments
  • Assistance relocating due to harassment
  • New/replacement state ID with gender marker change

    Hi, so my names zara im 21 i’m a transwoman, i was doing pretty well until i had top surgery. i needed three weeks off i got one week off then they fired me. so i’m in a battle of finding another job that doesn’t just dispose of me like that and i still have a outdated id. with a mix of no transportation i really need help. Id need help with buying 1-2 bras since i couldn’t after my surgery and transportation too update my id, and get my bloodwork done.
