Changing Sex On Massachusetts Driver's Licenses

MTPC, in collaboration with Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD), is collecting reports of the experiences that transgender persons are having in trying to get their sex designation changed on their driver's licenses.

Please complete a form if you have attempted (successfully or not) to change the sex designation (M or F) on your Massachusetts driver's license.

Please reccommend this survey to any trans persons you might know who have attempted to change the sex designation on their Massachusetts driver's license.

Please complete a separate form for each RMV visit you wish to report.

Currently, we are collecting reports for the next time we advocate for transgender persons with the RMV authorities about state policy. Our goal is to gain a clear statement of RMV policy that respects and supports the right of transgender persons to transition their official gender from 'M' to 'F' or 'F' to 'M'.
