A coalition of local and national organizations defending equal marriage rights for same-sex couples in Massachusetts. We are working to protect the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's decision on marriage equality and to defeat any discriminatory amendment to the Massachusetts state constitution.
[edit] Boston Pride
For over 35 years Boston Pride has organized a week of Pride events, including the week-topping Parade and Festival. And the Boston community has plenty to be proud of! Not only does Boston host the largest Pride celebration in New England (over 400,000 participants), but our community celebrates in the only state that allows same-sex couples the legal right to marry! The Boston Pride Committee meets every Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Wainwright Bank Community Room in the Back Bay. All are welcome!

Organize the annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride March and Rally in the Pioneer Valley. Foster events that honor the integrity, history and diversity of the Western Massachusetts LGBT community. Create unity within the LGBT and allied communities.

A voluntary state-wide professional association of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered lawyers and our allies providing a visible LGBT presence within the Massachusetts legal community. Law students, paralegals and other members of the legal profession are encouraged to become non-voting associate members.

Greater Boston PFLAG (Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People) includes more and more focus on transgender people, both on personal and political levels. PFLAG is a great place for allies and friends of transgender people to get support.

Somos Latin@s is a cultural, social and networking organization for the self-identified Latino/a LGBT community.

The Bisexual Resource Center is an international organization, although it is located right here in Massachusetts!

Queertoday is a queer blog that strives to "speak out against racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of injustice." It is a great trans-friendly news source or place to find out about current activist events.

AIDS Action Committee works on HIV prevention and health care. Their website is extensive and they offer trans-friendly resources. Their website is also available in Spanish.

Based in Boston, MASALA is an organization that reaches out to provide a safe and supportive social environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender individuals that identify as south Asian (people from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet; and from the global South Asian Diaspora). They welcome friendships and alliances with like-minded individuals and groups regardless of their ethnic/cultural/sexual identities. Most MASALA events are open to all.

The mission of the Multicultural AIDS Coalition (MAC) is to mobilize communities of color to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We work to ensure high quality, accessible prevention and treatment services for people living with HIV, at high risk for becoming infected, or closely affected by the disease. We also support broader community efforts to eradicate conditions that fuel the epidemic, including substance abuse, lack of health care access, homelessness, incarceration and oppression based on race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation.

The Berkshire Stonewall Community Coalition (BSCC), located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization composed of representatives from Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Questioning (GLBTQ) and GLBTQ- friendly organizations in the Berkshire area, as well as interested individuals.
[edit] Gay Officers Action League (GOAL) New England
GOAL/NE based upon the principles of being a social and community organization comprised of present and former criminal justice system employees. It functions as a support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) sworn law enforcement officers as well as civilian employees of federal, state and local agencies. The organization provides peer support to members, serves as a forum for members to share their knowledge and experience, and to discover solutions to problems faced by members and agencies.

Keshet is a grassroots organization dedicated to creating a fully inclusive Jewish community for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Jews in Greater Boston and across the country. We offer resources, training, and technical assistance for creating change in Jewish communities nationwide. In Hebrew, Keshet means both "rainbow," a symbol of GLBT pride, and "bow," an instrument for action.
