Tell Your Story!

To effectively advocate against discrimination, we need to tell our stories, both negative and positive. For this, we need YOUR story. If you've suffered discrimination or special help or support at any time because of your gender, share your story with us. However great or small, you'll be helping us tell our story to those who will vote on trans equality in Massachusetts.

Ways to Help

Contact your Representative and Senator

  1. Meet in person and educate them on transgender issues. MTPC will provide you with all the materials and lobbying training. If you're planning on doing this, please call 617-778-0519 or email info@masstpc.org. Afterwards, let us know how it went.
  2. Call your legislators - ask them to support the bill (or thank them, if they already support it)
  3. Write a personal letter and send by postal mail. Personal handwritten letters get a lot of attention.
  4. Have your company/organization write a letter of support for the legislation.

Volunteer

  1. Submit your story. Personal stories are powerful educational tools and will help MTPC advocate with legislators by using your story as a real life example of why this law is needed.
  2. Donate. This campaign, like any other, takes money. Every little bit helps.
